Go Birds! Join Lights Out Philly Now!
In a city where “Go Birds” is practically a daily greeting, participating in Lights Out Philly is a simple, visible way for building owners, managers, and residents to mean it!
Tens of millions of birds will pass through Philadelphia during the spring migration season. Unfortunately, thousands do not survive due to collisions with buildings and glass, but you can help migrating birds pass safely overhead.
Sign the pledge now, and turn off unnecessary exterior lighting and interior lights that are closest to windows, from midnight to 6 am from April 1 through May 31. If you are unable to turn off interior lights, use task lighting or draw window blinds, shades, drapes, or window coverings.
